Maharashtra State faculty development academy (MSFDA), Pune in collaboration with National Facility for Biopharmaceuticals (NBF), Mumbai is organizing a 3 days outreach program on ‘Popularising the science of bar-coding’ from 7th to 9th Dec. 2022.
Introducing and popularising the science of DNA barcoding will be the aim of this 3 days workshop. ‘DNA barcode’ is a unique pattern of DNA sequence that can potentially identify each living thing. This workshop will be including both lectures and hands-on-sessions. Various topics related to biology like biodiversity, ecology, biological nonitoring, taxonomy of species will be understood through the conceptual and analytical aspects of DNA barcoding.
The said workshop will be held in Gogate Jogalekar College and colleges of Konkan division will participate in this workshop. A total of 40, faculty and research students have registered. Principal of Gogate Jogalekar College Dr. P. P. Kulkarni has given best wishes for successful completion of the workshop.
