Departmental Library
The department has a departmental library apart from central library of the college. It has sufficient number of volumes on different subjects. It is run by the students for the students under guidance of the faculty members. This facility allows students to take two books simultaneously i.e. one from central library and another from departmental library itself.
Remedial/Bridge Courses
Remedial courses are meant for the students those who are little week in certain courses of their programme. On the other hand bridge courses are meant for bridging basic knowledge gap of the students those who have studied certain subject of their programme previously.
E-study Material
Faculty members of the department are making available e-study material for various subjects/courses of their programme. Students are offered with guidance for using different relevant and reliable websites. Study notes in different formats like MS-Word, PDF etc are made available to the students.
Departmental Scholarships
Students of the department are informed from time to time regarding various scholarships made available from government and some other private agencies. Required assistance is offered by the department to the students from time to time.
Research Guidance
The department offers the students with guidance for undertaking research work on a continuous basis. Students are guided for participating in the college level research convention and university level research conventions called ‘Shodhvedh’ and ‘Avishkar’ respectively.

Vidya Samiti – Constitution with members
Vidya Samiti is an innovative concept and unique practice adopted by all the departments of the college. It is like a ‘Quality Circle’ and a ‘Board of Studies’ at the departmental level.
Formation: Every year department organizes ‘Vidya Samiti’ which consists of members like Head of the Department, all faculty members, students’ representative, and outside industrial expert.
Agenda: Meetings are conducted at the beginning and end of every semester of the academic year. Academic planning, administrative planning, planning for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are discussed initially. Constructive suggestions from students’ representative, industrial expert, and faculty members are invited and discussed; and measures or steps are taken so as to improve teaching-learning process. Discussions on various issues like contents of syllabus for different courses of the programme, research activities and contribution of students as well as faculties, etc. are also conducted.
