A national level award from Indian Physics Association (IPA):- ‘S. N. Seshadri Instrumentation Award in Physical Sciences- 2002’ has been received for innovation / excellence in indigenous development of ‘Microprocessor controlled Rapid Thermal Annealing (RTA) System’. This stand alone system is installed at Department of Physics, University of Mumbai and currently being used extensively for fundamental research in Semiconductor Physics. The award carries prize money of Rs. 20000/- and a citation.

Recipient of the ‘Best Teacher Award’ for the academic year 2006-07, from University of Mumbai.
Obtained second rank in the University of Mumbai at M. Sc. (Physics) degree examination, held in May 1986.
